Affordable Custom Fence

  Mike at Affordable custom fence was very prompt in providing a return call back Monday and staying true to his word. His was able to send Estoban out Tuesday morning in less than 24 hours. That said, I did not need the electric and water etc marked because they weren’t digging to put in new posts but rather repairing a worn, tired 11 year old fence that had seen better days. I wanted some pickets replaced.
  I too felt the price was a tad high but it was worth getting it out of the way.Also, I’m used to doing my own work- So labor charges were part of that. And there is a haul away charge if you don’t want to dispose yourself, which is reasonable. Knowing that, I contracted them.
  Still, I did not foresee the quality of Estobans work and how much better it looked. He texted me pictures of the job as I wasn’t able to be there. There was additional damage to some lower 2x4 that they nail the boards to, and he let me know promptly, but removed damaged pickets while waiting for my response. He wasted no time; he was polite when I spoke with him and discussed the additional costs of the needed materials. I agreed and he finished the job. I am very pleased. I would totally recommend these folks particularly Mike and Estoban who does great work.

  Had no experience with purchasing fencing prior to calling this company. Initially I felt it was pricey but the quality and service is phenomenal. I was scheduled about a week out but they were able to fit me in 5 days sooner. The communication and understanding of my needs (small dog fencing) was fantastic. Would recommend 10 out of 10.

  I hired affordable custom fence to install a chain link fence I was told the guys would start on it march 17 2017 well that day was a Friday no one showed so I call Brian left a message then mike calls me tells me there running behind and some guys are out sick that's understandable so they say they will come Monday Brian did come said the guys would probably be here the next day no show no call well by Friday I'm mad and I call Brian leave voicemails mike finally called said they would be here Monday this was friday Sunday guys show up and start my fence now I gotta say the guys did a excellent job very fast and professional I'm very pleased with the quality of my new fence they said they would probably be back Monday with the gates and they were here on time with them very well built gates I know all companies have issues that arise I did get aggravated with them about not showing on time but I would recommend this company overall they were very professional and did a really good job at a fair price

  ACF built a fence for our SE Houston home (quite a way from the Woodlands). It looks fantastic! We've gotten a lot of compliments from neighbors, and our constant runaway of a beagle can't possibly escape.
  
  It fits all of the criteria I reviewed with Bryan, who came out and measured the space and brainstormed with me. He actively tried to find ways to make what I wanted in a fence possible (even fusing in decorative pieces designed for staircases and making it all look like a single solid piece!), and when I called with a last minute change, he accommodated it for free, even though I was prepared to pay a change fee. Bryan was great, and so was the man who came out to build the fence.
  
  I was impressed with the price too, which, as promised in the name, was very affordable for something so thoughtfully designed to my needs and made of such durable wrought iron. If I hadn't insisted on adding little bits of decorative flair, it would have been quite a bit cheaper but just as functional and well fitted.
  
  The delay between fence tear-down/post-laying and the construction of the new fence was a little bit long for a family with a dog (6 days, Thursday to Wednesday), but it was completely manageable and mostly caused by the intervening weekend and a considerate question about how best to incorporate some special pieces I wanted.
  
  I would have rated their service "Excellent" instead of "Very Good" (because I truly found it exceptional), if it weren't for Mike.
  
  Mike has a jaded, victimized approach to customer service that I don't believe serves ACF well. Several weeks after the fence went up, he called and left me a voicemail stating that I had "shortchanged" (what offensive word choice!) ACF 60 dollars. On the phone later, after I looked into the problem with my bank (and found from the check images that I had indeed written the check in question for the correct amount -- it seems that ACF asked its bank to deposit it for less than its face value), he opened the conversation with "You see, you signed a CONTRACT..." just assuming that I would argue with him about this, that I would try to cheat payment. Then, he condescended to me, snidely calling me "dear" and implying through his tone that he did not believe I had taken care of this payment, even after I said I would send another check to solve this problem that I hadn't caused.
  
  I doubt that ACF encounters this problem often, so I understand why Mike wouldn't have entered our interaction expecting me to have committed no error at all. However, EVEN IF I HAD MISPAID, this conduct would have been inappropriate for a first call about a potential payment mistake worth about 1/18th of the total value of the fence. Mike should have treated me like he genuinely thought there was a mistake somewhere in the process and like he was offering me a chance to rectify it. The tone of irritated, accusatory certainty should be saved for the second phone call, at the earliest. His treatment made me really angry.
  
  It disappoints me that this treatment after the fact sullies my image of a company that I otherwise really enjoyed working with.
