  I started with Doug a couple of months ago after I did some homework on local instructors. I'm 47 and learning the acoustic guitar. He's had a LOT of patience with me! I highly recommend TOL Studios if you are wanting to learn something new, need some guidance on fixing those bad habits or if you want to improve upon skills you already have. You are never too old or too skilled to learn something new!

  I’ve been going to Doug for several months now for guitar lessons and have thoroughly enjoyed it. He came highly recommended from a friend. I’m 46 and just took up the guitar. At first I was really nervous but he has a way of helping to keep things fun and relaxed. Sometimes I don’t always get the practice time I should but what I like about Doug is he goes as fast or as slow as I need him to and I don’t feel guilty if I haven’t had the best week of practice. I would definitely recommend him to others.

  My older son (10yo) has been taking guitar lessons from Doug for 2 years and my younger son (7yo) just started with the drums. Doug is very knowledgeable, but able to talk to the kids in a way they can learn from him. He is always willing to help in anyway he can. I like that he knows how to keep the boys interested and engaged in what they are learning, so they want to keep coming back for more. Thank you for all you do to help keep music in our family.

  Doug is an special teacher, always positive and kind. His didactic impress us and we could saw that because he’s able to teach our 6 years old daughter in guitar and me and my wife in piano. He’s an multi instrumental teacher and always approach the teaching process in music theory.
