  Very nice park located off of the st Mary's river. Great for quiet walks or just enjoying nature in the serene environment. My dogs love it here as well!!

  Love this location. The trail is great for walking and biking. My wife and I take the dogs every once and a while to walk them. Great fishing lake as well. There is a honor system payment of $3.00 required for state residents but we'll worth it in my opinion.

  Excellent park in St. Mary's County Maryland. Awesome hiking/biking trail around a beautiful lake. Small playground off trail. Pet friendly. Reasonable user fee with lots of parking.

  Nice trail loop, boat launching, picnic tables, playground, bathrooms, lots of parking, bumpy trails from tree roots, bring a good stroller if bringing baby otherwise very easy hike. Pack in, pack out don't leave your trash and clean up after your pet. Leave it better than you found it.

  Perfect place to take pictures at! The trails are also really fun to walk on. They have a playground for kids too.

May 12 Fishing Rodeo at St. Mary's River State Park

St. Mary's River State Park hosts its ninth annual Youth Fishing Rodeo 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. May 12. All children, aged 3-15, are eligible to participate in this free event. The event will include a casting competition as well as educational and informational demonstrations with live animals.
