  Beautiful place with lots of hiking trails as long or as short as you want to go. Some trails also connect to Muir Woods National Monument without the pain of reserving a parking spot days in advance.

  It's a beautiful place. Tranquil quite an relaxing. One of my favorite go to for sunsets an hikes.

  One of the most beautiful and accessible natural parks in the United States. Breathtaking ocean and Bay views, waterfalls and some of the most diverse plant life in the Bay area. I've hiked there for 20 years and still find new trails with routes both easy and challenging. Stop reading this review and go there!!!

Sudden Oak Death (SOD) disease first appeared on the Mount Tamalpais Watershed in 1995, and is caused by the water mold, Phytophthora ramorum. SOD has caused the wide-scale dieback of several native tree species on the Watershed, especially the tanoak, coast live oak, California black oaks.
